What happens in a nutritional therapy consultation?
Before your consultation, you are sent a health questionnaire and food diary to complete. Your first nutritional therapy consultation is an opportunity for Rita to find out more about your health, eating habits and lifestyle and assess what could be causing your symptoms; and there is plenty of time for you to ask questions. During the initial consultation of up to 75 minutes, we agree a personalised healthy eating plan for you to put into practice at home.
Telephone consultations may be arranged, if you are unable to come to the clinic.
At least one follow-up consultation is usually recommended to monitor your progress and help you to make further progress towards your health objectives.
Nutritional supplements may be recommended as part of your programme and are checked against any medication that you are taking. The latest urine, blood, saliva, hair and stool lab tests are available to provide concise information about how your body is working. Nutritional supplements and lab tests are optional and are in addition to the consultation fee. If you wish to cancel an appointment, please give at least 48 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation fee.

Rita Carmichael presents at prestigious medical event
Rita was invited to speak at a distinguished gathering of hospital consultants, GPs, dentist and their patients at Nottingham University Medical School on the subject of adrenal fatigue, a much neglected area of health that can affect the adrenal (stress) glands. Adrenal fatigue is often found in cases of low energy, anxiety, poor sleep, digestive problems, weight gain or loss, depression and a weakened immune system. Rita’s presentation gave information on how to spot the symptoms, the tests she uses in clinic to detect adrenal fatigue and how nutritional therapy helps patients whose adrenal glands are performing below par.
